I suppose it really depends on what kind of piece you're composing. I utilise plagal cadences in my work when thematically appropriate. I find that a IV-I in a minor key sounds pretty melancholic, so I like to use it in those instances.

V7-I is more satisfying because of the nature of the tritone. 7-3 3-1. The configuration of the plagal cadence doesn’t have as much “tonal gravity” per se. although this example posted isn’t truly a cadential plagal. It’s more of an addendum, as the phrase really ends at measure 3. What we have there is a V7-I.
